Even with the advent of democracy, kings, queens and other leaders in the world today still sit on thrones and command large armies. Ours is a culture obsessed with power. So, why on earth would we ever believe in a king who arrives riding on a donkey? If we’re serious about following the weird kind of king Jesus was, then we need also to be serious about living out the upside down principles of power that he modeled.
